IT and Event Technology Assistant
Close to Banbury - OX15
Paying up to £25,000 DOE
Monday to Friday - Days

Our Banbury client is looking to recruit an 'IT and Event Technology Assistant'. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the IT sector.

Principle responsibilities as an IT and Event Technology Assistant:

- Provide efficient 1st line IT support for the company and to all members of staff in the office or working remotely
- Processing IT equipment requests
- Managing daily support requests in a timely manner based on the support required
- Liaising with third party support companies for resolutions to escalated support tickets
- That best rates and value for money are negotiated with suppliers as appropriate
- That the TEB staff IT expectations are effectively managed with regular communication as appropriate
- Manage new starter requests or leaver requests
- Configuration of new or relocated PC and telephone hardware
- Maintain server room equipment including racks/cabinets
- Manage user/computer records using Active Directory
- Maintain accurate asset records including adding new equipment
- Manage and maintain the telephone systems
- Manage and maintain the company Amazon business account
- Maintain company IT physical infrastructure, servers, phone systems and equipment in line with TEB policies and procedures
- Maintain and enhance TEB cyber security, as well as undertaking routine checks to identify and rectify any weaknesses
- Network management including network patching and basic switch configuration
- That suppliers deliver products and services as agreed on time and to the required standard
- That any appropriate Added Value opportunities are identified and implemented within budgetary constraints with the help of the IT Manager
- Research and implement the latest event technologies to enhance TEB offering to clients - this includes attending trade shows, meeting new suppliers, and, where feasible, developing new in-house technologies that can be offered to clients
- Building, test and maintain web-based delegate registration systems (HTML, CSS, JavaScript understanding needed, PHP desirable)
- Supporting web-based registration systems and being able to understand and write code for these websites based on the systems we use
- Testing of the web-based registration systems
- That positive working relationships with key suppliers are maintained
- That TEB minimum standards are applied and adhered to
- Create and manage booking system for "Red Baboon Studios"
- Manage IT and AV requirements for "Red Baboon Studios"

Personal responsibilities as an IT and Event Technology Assistant:

- That you understand the consequences of your actions for the company and to actively share responsibility with the Directors / Managers / Supervisors for the success of the company

- That you are willing to work in excess of usual working hours when the balance of the company's work or allocated responsibilities requires this. We do not expect excessive working hours, rather we require flexibility when there is a clear benefit to the company

- Attend one-to-ones on a regular basis to ensure your individual objectives are clear and up-to-date
- Help and support new staff into their new role as appropriate

- That you undergo appropriate levels of coaching, development and support when needed
