Field Service Engineer (Mechanical)

Witney - UK Wide

Base Salary £27,500 + £30 Overnight Payment + Overtime (1.5x) - OTE Approx. £35,000 + Van + Holiday Up to 25 Days + Pension + Phone + Company Credit Card

Monday to Friday 40 Hour working week

Field Service Engineer required for a specialist and growing engineering company who can offer an excellent benefits and overtime opportunities. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with a global reputation who provide services to the aircraft industry.

The role will suit candidates from a Mechanical Engineering background who are comfortable working in a field-based position with frequent travelling and stay away. This role would particularly suit candidates from a plant engineering background, ex-forces, HGV or similar. You will also be required to complete a medical and confined space training to facilitate tank entry inspection and cleaning. You must also be happy to complete DBS background checks as security clearances will be required to gain entry to most sites.

The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for carrying out service and maintenance on aircraft re-fuelling systems on airfields across the UK and Ireland. This will involve working with pneumatics, basic hydraulics, filters changes, meter calibration and some electrical work.

The role is predominantly field based, and you can expect to be away from home three weeks in four. You will be paid for any night spent away and any work carried out after your contract 40 hours will be paid at a premium rate. In addition to this, when required, you will also be expected to support the manufacturing teams at their sites in Witney and Stroud assemble and test equipment before it is sent to site.

* From any mechanical engineering background with hydraulic and pneumatic experience

* Comfortable with regular stay away and covering the whole of the UK

* Happy to complete DBS background check
