Financial Controller: MAT cover (14 months) - c\u00A345,000

Your new company

Hays is excited to be working with a leading supplier of consumer goods to major retailers and consumers, across the UK. The business is looking for a Financial Controller to cover a MAT leave, starting in October '21 for 14 months.

Your new role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the full month-end process, including accruals, prepayments, journals and Management Accounts. You will also manage Accounts Payable and the Group treasury function, as well as Balance Sheet Reconciliation, budgeting and forecasting. Other duties include bank reconciliation, fixed assets, VAT and corporation tax packs. While managing and developing two direct reports.

What you'll need to succeed

To be the successful candidate, you will need to be studying or qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or qualified by experience, with experience using an accounting software. Other requirements are good understanding of VAT and people management experience. Ideally, you will have the willingness to 'own' and take personal responsibility for the full accounts function.
