Job description

SWG Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant to join our team within a growing construction company based at our head office in Welshpool. The successful candidate will be confident dealing with sales and purchase ledger and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

* Processing Purchase & Sales Ledger

* Supplier Statement Reconciliations

* Credit Control

* Bank Reconciliations

* Prepare weekly payment run

* Collate monthly payroll & process through Sage 50 Payroll

* Pension Administration

* Monthly CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns

* Quarterly VAT Returns

* Nominal Ledger Postings incl. prepayment & accruals

* Assist with month end & year end activities

* Adhoc accounts/admin tasks and projects

Skills Required

* Experience working within the Construction Industry desirable

* Sage 50 and Eque2 Experience desirable though training can be provided

* AAT qualified or equivalent level of experience

* Advanced knowledge of Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)

* Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors

* Good organisational and time-management abilities

* Be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Salary - £24,000 - £26,000 per year
