Local Service Manager - Tier 1

Kempsfield, Shrewsbury

£33,379 - £35,136

37.5 hours per week

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join us in the role of Local Service Manager at Kempsfield. You will be responsible for effectively leading staff to ensure that all service users receive focused support. The role will ensure effective care and support systems are in place and co-ordination of staff teams.

We provide residential care and support for 14 adults aged 18 to 65, with a range of learning disabilities.

The role of Local Service Manager will include:

Leading the overall delivery of the service, through the management of the team and liaison with the Area Service Manager
Developing and maintaining relationships with service users and relevant external agencies, liaising effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
Overseeing the overall delivery of the housing management of the property
Delivering contract KPI's
Overseeing the service's financial performance and managing the budget to maximise income
Responsibility for health and safety in the service

Skills and experiences

With previous experience of working in a managerial role within a similar service, you will be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, leadership and problem solving skills
Experience of working in a person centred way supporting service users to maximise opportunities for personal development
NVQ5 Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
Registered Manager Award or similar relevant professional qualification
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant current statutory legislation and good practice principles
Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is desirable
