Your new company
I've been engaged by a Global Tech Consultancy to recruit for a core project of theirs requiring 30 Java Developers. They are halfway through the recruitment drive and looking to open up to applicants across the UK that can travel to the Telford office 1 day per week. It's a really unique opportunity to work on a project for one of the UK's central pillars of administration for a business established over 50 years.

Your new role
You'd be joining their digital transformation function, responsible for delivering applications and platform services based on Java and open source software - specialising in the transformation of Legacy solutions to modern cloud-native architectures.

We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck-in; someone who learns quickly; loves a challenge; who loves a job that's never the same one day to the next. As a Developer, you'll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities surrounded by some amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.

You'll work with the latest technologies to deliver the right outcome rather than being pressured to ship software to meet deadlines.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll need a deep level of Java knowledge in an Agile/Scrum environment and will be proficient using a framework like Spring/Hibernate in Tandem with Git, API Testing and Unix operating systems.

Any experience working with DevOps principles and modern agile ways of working using the Java/open source ecosystem, microservices, infrastructure-as-code, NoSQL databases, containerisation, JEE, Oracle database, cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premise client platforms.
