Responsible for supporting the of delivery of Talent and/or Learning solutions, frameworks, and processes, using sound technical capabilities to play an active role in talent development projects, develop plans and proposals and test and deliver cost-effective learning and development solutions, whilst staying abreast of external developments to improve internal solutions.
Job AdvertBased in London (Canary Wharf), this role will run the delivery of learning solutions in line with bp's ambitions as it transforms into an integrated energy company with a new focus on low carbon activities, maintaining a clear alignment with strategic direction and value. This role will focus on the delivery of commercial and trading skills, supporting bp's Trading and Shipping business but also the wider bp organisation.
Working with a team of commercial and learning specialists, the right candidate will drive the learning processes, communications, reporting and data driven insights, structured learning paths, physical and virtual course coordination, while handling and optimising physical/virtual infrastructure and working closely with central teams.
In addition, the responsibilities includes running the delivery of offsite events and assessments, including maintaining consistent standards and best practice, documentation and data integrity, while respecting relevant legal and audit standards. It will also include to use data to make inferences and implement process improvements, communicating with partners on areas such as DE&I.
The role will act as primary organiser/course owner for the UK Commercial Skills Programme, a structured learning programme to develop commercial and trading skills for a select cohort over two years.
The candidate would be expected to develop into delivering their own content for basic commercial learning, including but not limited to exercises/workshops for university students and school students. They will also be able to work in Agile squads to support the broader learning organisation.

- Define and deliver robust processes to gain efficiency and deliver data driven insights into learning utilisation, outreach and assessments, and turn those insights into reports, practical recommendations and improvements
- Support the delivery of training courses, learning curricula, workshops, face to face and virtual learning, in multiple modalities
- Support the curation, design and maintenance of online learning offers, maintaining standards and consistency, including effective utilisation of learning technology such as Articulate Rise
- Help maintain a skills taxonomy related to commercial knowledge and trading/entrepreneurship. Coordinate structured development programmes, for graduates and experienced staff.
- Conduct learning requirements analyses and gap identification. Capable of working in Agile teams, working with the broader Talent organisation, stakeholders and SMEs
- Business relevant Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification or experience
- Ability to handle subject matter authorities and senior management to ensure the provision of commercial training and assessment. Able to influence and to build consensus across teams in order to understand and meet stakeholder needs
- Excellent organisational skills & ability to think strategically and creatively. Strong communication skills; oral, presentation and written, and comfortable communicating both virtually and face-to-face. Able to clearly communicate insights based on data
- Self-starter who proactively takes initiative, handles multiple / conflicting priorities, demonstrates adaptability in handling change in a wide-ranging environment
- Sound judgment with the ability to simplify and resolve complex issues

- Experience with learning technology and online course development. Strong technology skills with basic descriptive statistics
- Understanding of assessment best practice, experience working in an Agile environment & in a commercial environment, such as a trading floor
