Somerset County Council have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Administrator for 30 hours per week to join our Temporary Labour Team until March 2023.
The Recruitment Administrator will be the first point of contact in supporting all contacts and relationships that the service meet, including recruiting managers, candidates, external agencies and other teams across the service. By being an advocate of excellent service, you will process customer enquiries, delivering a service that enables recruiting managers to fulfil their temporary labour requirements, whilst contributing to service performance and monitoring. You will administer the tracking of enquiries, and the processing of data, to enable clear analysis to be able to provide the best solutions.

Here's what you can expect to be doing
As a Recruitment Administrator within our Temporary Labour Team, you will:
Be responsible for the day-to-day support of the Temporary Labour Officer and Temporary Labour process, providing advice, guidance and solutions to recruiting managers on engaging with external recruitment agencies to fulfil their temporary labour requirements.
Maintain and update electronic records, which include applicant/order tracking, establishment control and financial information
Monitoring the Temporary Labour Mailbox
Assist in the distribution of feedback surveys to staff and managers
Quality assurance checks on invoices and temporary labour management information and challenge discrepancies
Liaise with internal recruitment managers on their existing agency staff and discuss potential long-term alternative solutions
Guide and assist managers through the Temporary Labour process
Build good working relationships with our agency suppliers in order to provide an effective/efficient service
Identify improvements and make suggestions, taking ownership of actions to see improvements through to resolution
Manage own workload on a daily basis.

You're someone who is positive, helpful, cheerful and demonstrates professionalism.
You will have excellent time management skills to be able to work quickly and efficiently and be able to maintain high standards, even when working to manage conflicting deadlines.
You will also have a proven track record in excellent customer service with the ability and confidence to build good working relationships and hold difficult conversations.
The right candidate will ideally have had experience in a temporary labour, recruitment administrator role or similar. A sound knowledge or experience of Temporary Labour functions, processes & regulations is also desirable but not essential.

Salary £18,933 to £19,698 pro rata
