Job description

We are looking for a Network Engineer to work within one of the UK's largest gaming and gambling providers.

We are looking for a Network Engineer to work within the Infrastructure Team that supports the entire business functions within the one of the UK's largest and fastest growing gaming and gambling companies.

The successful applicant will have at least 3 years previous experience as a Network engineer having hands on experience troubleshooting, supporting and developing IPv4 based networks. We are looking for someone who has experience working in structural and horizontal network cabling, telecoms rooms and racks and data centres, having hands on experience with managing routing, and Cisco hardware.

The company are adopting a hybrid working pattern and offering 2 days per week working from home, however, this will be dependent on workload and commitments. Although the there are offices based throughout the UK the successful candidate will be based at the office in the centre of Burton, close to public transport links and also offers ample parking

Key Requirements

At least 3 years commercial experience as a Network engineer
Experience with network cabling, telecommunication rooms and racks and data centres.
Strong experience with managing Cisco hardware (switches, routers, ASA and Wireless)
Experience with managing routing
Good understanding of the TCP/IP protocols and its troubleshooting
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Must be a good team player and easily adapatable
Can do attitude

Nice to have:

Good understanding of TCP, OSFP, BGP or Cisco VRF and ASA context
Strong knowledge of IPSec, configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of MPLS
Experience with Linux Systems
Experience with non Cisco hardware
Experience with security management solutions and practices.
