Summary

The NHS is the biggest employer in Europe. It's a world-renowned institution and an exciting place to work, full of challenges and opportunities.

NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU) is one of the biggest and best-performing commissioning support units in the country, with among the highest levels of staff and customer satisfaction. We work together as a team of over 1,800 expert staff based across the Midlands and North West to make a difference - for our customers, patients and communities.

Offering a full range of professional services to clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), hospital trusts, local authorities, integrated care systems (ICSs) and other public bodies across the country, our NHS values underpin everything we do.

Who we're looking for

More than ever we are seeing the increase in opportunities to provide additional services and support to meet customer requirements. To meet that requirement, we are looking for a skilled and diverse range of associates to join our organisation. Allowing us to maximise our service offering and seek out new opportunities for growth and development.

Skills and expertise in the following areas would be beneficial:
• Project and programme management
• Change management and service redesign/improvement

We're passionate about securing the best and most vibrant talent so whilst we're keen to talk to individuals who have experience, skill and expertise in the above areas if you feel that you have other expertise and skills to offer and would like to be a part of our organisation, then we would welcome you to apply.

How our Associate model works

Once you become an Associate at MLCSU we will look to match your skills, experience and expertise to any opportunities which arise.

There are several ways in which we can engage you including short term and temporary contracts, ad-hoc 'advisory' roles to longer term opportunities. As an Associates you may be approached to work in a number of ways; on a direct contract of employment for a fixed term basis, on a zero hours contract or as an independent contractor (inside or outside of IR35).

Following submission of an application our Resourcing team will contact you to discuss your skills, expertise, salary expectations and preferred way of working to enable available opportunities to be better matched to you.

What we offer

As an Associated of MLCSU you will be empowered to play a leading role in the future of health and social care, whatever your specialism or interest. In return, we provide a supportive environment in which to learn and develop, with the opportunity to further your skills and career within an exciting and evolving environment.

Whilst the teams and colleagues working with may be based all over the UK, whereyouare based and where you work from is not an issue for us! As an organisation we have radically adopted the principles of agile working in order to support the flexibility and work/life balance of our people focusing onwhatyou do rather thanwhereyou do it. As such we welcome applications from anyone throughout the UK.
