Continuous Improvement Leader; Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire; £35-40K depending upon experience

Working within a dedicated CI team, you will be responsible for leading the company's continuous improvement programme, to effectively deliver and achieve the overall business targets and customer requirements. Duties will include:
* Maintain, drive and embed a sustainable LEAN /continuous improvement culture by communicating, training, supporting and coaching of employees across all departments.
* Using LEAN tools to support the delivery of the organisation's strategic objectives.
* Actively lead and encourage the team to use improvement tools and techniques and develop a culture of continuous improvement to effectively deliver improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs and eliminate waste.
* Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Processes and the Quality Management System by coaching and reinforcement of the importance of always delivering a quality product.
* Ensuring that health and safety of operatives is always maintained and that the working practices of the team comply with HS&E policies.
Applicants to this role should have:
* A proven track record of successfully implementing LEAN or working as part of a continuous improvement team within a manufacturing environment (ideally engineering but not essential)
* The ability to identify opportunities for improvement, developing a project plan for implementing improvements and monitoring the new process to ensure it works as intended (PDCA)
* Organised and able to lead/facilitate C.I. events including training of colleagues
* Sound knowledge and practical application of Health and Safety legislation and policies / procedures.
* A HNC level or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic engineering would be desirable.
* Good IT skills.
