Permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk Based in Stoke on Trent c.\u00A322,000

Your new company
A fantastic, market leading employer based in the heart of Stoke on Trent are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Your new role will include but not be limited to;

* Accurate and timely input of all purchase ledger invoices into both the accounting system and the procurement system, ensuring timely and accurate payment of suppliers
* Currently 55 Group entities to post Purchase Ledger invoices into
* You will have a keen eye for spotting errors on the various dimensions used for entry including entity, nominal ledger coding, analysis coding, currencies, VAT code and correct supplier account selection
* Ensuring invoices are marked as held where not approved on receipt
* Involvement in weekly payment runs for up to 30 Group entities, combining PDF invoices for each entity
* Supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring follow up actions are complete where invoices are missing
* Control of contractor weekly \/ monthly invoices, including maintaining control spreadsheet
* Liaising with contractors or agencies for missing invoices or timesheets and obtaining the approval of the timesheets from internal managers
* Ensure revenue share invoices are matched to internal reports
* Create and maintain procedure guides that are relevant for the role
* Other ad hoc tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed

* Purchase Ledger experience required including entering invoices in multi-currency and multi company organisations
* Experience of processing high volumes and values of purchase ledger
* Excellent speed and accuracy of data entry
* VAT experience would be advantageous
* Attention to detail
* Good working use of Excel
