Job description

We're looking for a talented Electrical Workshop Supervisor to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of a supervisor role.

The Role:

Based in the company's Stone office, as the Electrical Workshop Supervisor you will be primarily responsible for supervising, managing and motivating a team of technicians within the workshop, overseeing staff member performance that included efficiency and standard of workmanship.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Providing electrical installation experience and expertise to support electrical workshop quality and delivery schedules

- Working in conjunction with the Production Manager, to deliver departmental targets such as on time delivery performance, quality standards and compliance

- Working with the Production Manager on effective planning and scheduling and provide progress / status feedback

- Leading, mentoring and developing the electrical team and develop skills matrix

- Working with the mechanical Workshop Supervisor and the Production Manager, planning workshop and site demand requirements and recommend capacity and resource requirements

- Supporting the Production Manager with updating the plan, allocating work to the technicians and resource shortfalls

- Providing leadership in production build problem resolution that affect quality and on time delivery

- Adhering to our clients quality assurance procedures

- While being supported from the Production Manager, be responsible for all human resources tasks for the Electrical Technicians such as performance reviews, absence management and resolving any personnel problems

- Ensuring the workshop is kept both safe and tidy to comply with health & safety legislation and the company QHSE procedures

- Support feedback, supply detail and make recommendations that support company KPI's

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Electrical Workshop Supervisor role will have relevant experience of a supervisor role.

You'll also need experience of:

- Working to a high-quality standard

- Ability to lead and develop teamwork

- Working within the gas industry

- Working within the national grid

- Site safety management training

- Site safety supervisor training

In addition, you'll need the following:

- NVQ or equivalent in electrical installation

- City & Guilds 18th edition

- City and Guilds test and inspection

- Full, clean driving licence and own transport

- Willing to move forward with changes to better the way we work

- Good level of IT skills

- Good understanding of 5s, lean principles and application

- EUSR gas safety passport

- SCO91 / Compex 01 - 04

- El6 authorisation

- SCO core (1&2)

- Knowledge of construction design management regulations

The Package:

Basic salary: Up to £43,000 per annum
