Job Introduction

The starting salary for this role is £21,943 per annum for a 36 hour working week, however part time opportunities are also available.

This is a fantastic catering role, working for one of Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development's (SOLD) beautiful outdoor activity centres. High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre is near Dorking in a stunning woodland location.

We are seeking full-time or part-time people with catering experience to lead shifts in the kitchen. It will be a very hands-on role; preparing and cooking fresh, healthy meal options for visitors to the centre.

The role is varied, requiring good organisational skills, sound catering knowledge and experience in a busy kitchen. You will lead the team, preparing, cooking and serving our guests who range from school children through to adult groups.

The day is always different, so adaptability is key to meet the ranging needs of our visitors and groups, providing tasty, quality food with a smile!

From time to time, we also deliver themed events which require cooking/BBQing delicious meals outdoors and creating menus to suit different occasions.

Requirements

Hold or are working towards Food Hygiene L3
A craft qualification of NVQ Level 2 or above
Excellent planning and time management skills
Catering experience for a wide range of needs

All applicants will require their own transport as High Ashurst is inaccessible via public transport.
