Lead Solution Architect
London
£65,000 - £75,000
A globally leading recognised organisation is currently recruiting for a Lead Solution Architect who can work across functional leads to help define IT based solutions to business problems. As the Lead Solution Architect, you will direct the creation of solutions using various techniques including, but not limited to, flow charting, prototyping and whiteboarding. The LSA will have strong stakeholder engagement to communicate technical ideas to make sure functional teams are aligned in the common goal. In turn this will support the global growth of the business and accelerate the technology department support digital innovation. As the Lead Architect you will work on a variety of projects and own the end-to-end design from inception to project delivery.
Core Skills
*Work on principal/strategic projects (multiple projects at any one time).
*Ensure capability to work across multiple technologies and multiple delivery methods.
*Ensure designs in compliance with Industry standards and architectural plans.
*Collaborate with the Architecture horizontal in group IT and where required Business End users and senior management to define business requirements for complex systems development.
*Deliver and ensure QA against the design during the project phases. Maintains ongoing documentation of consulting activities and delivers complete and comprehensive end-of-engagement reporting.
*Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology.
*Leading and coordinating subject matter experts (SMEs) involved with solution design and subsequent implementation.
*Ability to stay current with state-of-the-art technology developments and trends.
*Ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements are met for a particular business challenge or opportunity, or any exceptions are justified, agreed with all applicable stakeholders and signed off.
*Creation and on-going maintenance of technical artefacts for area of responsibility - accessible across group.
*Experience in translating business requirements into simple deliverable technical solutions.
*Familiarity with software development methodologies and processes such as Agile, SCRUM, etc., and excellent understanding and proven use of Architectural Design Patterns.

*You will need to be highly technical and able to translate functional requirements into robust software solutions, long with the following skills:
*Technical Literacy - determine how a software solution fits into an organisation's current structure and assists in the development of specifications and requirements
*Analytical Assessment - a high level of analysis, examine companies' current systems and determine overall project needs and scope
*Schedule Management - extensive time management skills to determine development schedules and milestones and ensure that deliverables are completed on time
*Team Leadership -direct development teams internally and externally throughout the project development life cycle, leadership and motivation is essential
*Communication-responsible for communicating with team members, clients, and external vendors, so exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Problem-Solving-excellent problem-solving, able to quickly change direction based on updated business specifications or system limitations
