We are currently recruiting for IT Technician on a permanent basis for an established and successful IT Solutions provider based in Farnham. As a Managed IT Service Provider, the business offer a varied range of dependable, high-quality technical support and IT solutions to their external customer base predominately centred around Microsoft technologies.
Due to their success and growth within the business they are looking to recruit another IT Support Technician to join their busy service desk, where you will provide customer facing solutions via telephone, email and remote support. Your new job
These sorts of roles don't come around enough - you will gain valuable commercial experience and Microsoft Certifications through your ongoing training and development! You will form part of a small (11 people), but established and strong team, who encourage learning and personal development.
This role will be a mixture of BAU support, as well as actively being involved in on the job training, working to resolve more complex queries (with the support from your team around you), and participate in client projects (which are occasionally on site), giving you the opportunity to quickly progress into a more technical support role within 9 - 12+ months.
Ideally we are looking for someone with some commercial experience (6 months to 1 years experience within an IT Support\/ 1st Line\/ Service Desk position ideally), however - we are also interested in hearing from recent IT Graduates, or those who can demonstrate a real passion for learning about technology, teamed with the aptitude and ability to quickly learn new skills.
The Techy bit:
Within this role you will provide IT support to a diverse portfolio of customer accounts, working to resolve queries relating to the following areas:
* Broad \"IT Know-How\" of Microsoft Windows operating systems including Windows 10 and Server 12\/16
* Administration of Active Directory and understanding of Group Policy, DHCP & DNS
* Knowledge and account administration of Microsoft 365
* Experience of building and troubleshooting PC Hardware and Software issues
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients to promote high level of customer service
* Logging, prioritisation and escalation of IT support issues and requests
* Resolution of 1st and 2nd line support issues and working with senior technicians when required
* Routine systems administration tasks
* Building and configuring PCs ready for deployment
You will have excellent communication skills, telephone manner, and have the talent to work well individually and part of a trusted team. You will need to be a punctual individual, with the ability to meet deadlines, and administration skills should be of the highest standard.
It may be helpful to have a full, clean UK driving license, use of a car and willingness to travel and if you have any previous Microsoft certification it would be an advantage but not essential.
Benefits
Starting salary between \u00A320,000 - \u00A327,000 depending on your experience and regular performance based salary reviews (based on achieving your own personal development objectives within your role), 25 days starting annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (33 in total), a contributory pension, private health care (after qualifying period) and free onsite parking and you will get commitment to your onward training towards your Microsoft accreditations for MCSA and MSCE.
