Partnerships Manager
The Partnerships Manager is a member of a dynamic and award-winning team of committed and passionate individuals working together to raise the profile of Challengers and maximise revenue funding in support of play and leisure opportunities for disabled children, young people and young adults. The purpose of this role is to secure high value corporate partnerships to develop strategic relationships that bring about significant value to both organisations. You will develop the income strategy across Partnerships to deliver Challengers targets.
The organisation has a great foundation of corporate supporters and an active Business Club that are ready to be taken further. You will contribute to our overall Fundraising programme by developing a multi-year pipeline of opportunities and confirmed Partnerships. You will be responsible for cultivating current partnership, developing new and reengaging lapsed partners whilst ensuring a great supporter journey and to manage a small team of fundraisers that embody Challengers values of inclusivity, playfulness, trustworthiness, ambitious and accountable.
What we offer:
£25,096.28 - £27,187.64 per annum (dependant on experience)
Permanent position.
Location: Guildford Office with travel to other sites
Hours: Full Time (35 Hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Duties:
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications to develop the overall Corporate Partnership strategic plan.
Work with Head of Fundraising and Communication to support the development of the Fundraising Officer.
Liaise with the wider organisation to identify appropriate partnership opportunities.
Liaising between the income streams to ensure a joined-up approach and that Challengers is providing the most effective supporter journey across the board.
Develop and deliver the Partnerships Strategy across various income streams with the aim of securing year on year growth.
Deliver a minimum 18-month pipeline of opportunities and confirmed Partnerships.
Engage with other teams to identify new Corporate Partnership or Business Club connections, leading to future funding.
Manage delivery of existing Challengers Corporate Partnerships, whilst building relationships with stakeholders at all levels to provide future long-term support for the Charity.
Line manage the Fundraising Officer, providing leadership and guidance.
Work together with the Community & Events Officers to deliver on joint events that are targeted for corporates.
Work with the Communications Team to design, successful messaging, and marketing campaigns through a variety of available channels.
Establish, develop, and maintain strong corporate relationships with a diverse group of supporters as well as develop ideas and devise strategies to further enhance, extend and strengthen current corporate partner relationships.
Monitor the effectiveness of partnerships, generate insight, and deliver continuous improvement that increases the value of corporate support.
Attending networking events in various locations to continue to develop relationships with existing and new corporate supporters.
Develop and implement a strategy to grow the Business Club supporter base.
Support the use of the communication relationship management system, ensure those you are managing are utilising the full functions in the most effective and efficient manner.
Support in the whole team approach of Crowdfunding campaigns, utilising the knowledge of Challengers individual givers and supporter engagement.
Support the wider Fundraising Team with the delivery of fundraising events, including some direct work on the event day which may include ad-hoc evenings and weekends for which time off in lieu will be given.
Personal Specification:
Essential:
Exceptional interpersonal skills and comfortable networking at a high level, able to negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships.
Results-orientated and evidence of achieving targets and delivery against ambitious funding plans, across diverse funding streams.
Experience of establishing and cultivating strong donor relationships that have delivered substantially increased income.
Experience of developing corporate communications and messaging, particularly around change scenarios, strategic development and sensitive information.
Experience in planning and delivering successful events.
Strong written and verbal communication skills: persuasive and influential; diplomatic; effectively builds rapport with individuals and groups; presents information accessibly and in a format appropriate to the audience.
Highly developed interpersonal skills: able to build and manage relationships and network effectively; promotes a collaborative team environment; resolves conflict and represents alternative points of view.
The ability to identify and respond to fundraising opportunities and articulate a project or a programme into a funding bid.
Able to use Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook amongst others to a high standard.
Flexibility to work outside conventional office hours when required including weekends and evenings.
Full clean driving license and car owner with ability to use own vehicle for travel to meetings and events and therefore hold the necessary business use insurance.
Desirable:
Transferable fundraising experience
Experience of working in a target led environment.
Experience of using a database management systems.
Analytical understanding of funding plans, budgets and forecasts, an ability to review financial information and relate this to strategic decisions.
Flexibility to work outside conventional office hours when required.
Experience or understanding of the issues facing disabled children and young people, their families and carers and of issues surrounding social exclusion.
