We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At DEBRA we are currently looking for a Van Driver to join our team based in Merrow, Surrey. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis - 35 hours per week and in return will receive a competitive salary of £8.91 per hour.DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. Around 500,000 people live with the condition worldwide, more than Cystic Fibrosis, but EB is much less well known.Key Responsibilities of our Van Driver will include:To act as a representative of DEBRA at all times.To ensure that the delivery/collection and distribution system runs smoothly and professionally.To ensure the smooth collection / delivery of goods from/to the public on behalf of DEBRA.To keep the DEBRA van clean and tidy at all times.Maintain proper records of all deliveries / collections.Complete all administrative paper work correctly and promptly and deliver it to the Area Manager on time.Inspect the vehicle regularly and report any faults etc. to the Area Manager.Ensure the vehicle is serviced at regular intervals.Ensure vehicle is properly loaded getting maximum use from the available space and adhering to weight specifications of supplied vehicleEnsure all items of furniture etc. is properly covered and tied down to protect it from damage all items items should be suitably secured within the vanDEBRA reserves the right to vary these duties from time to time in accordance with the changing operational needs of DEBRA.What we're looking for in our Van Driver:A full, clean driving licenceA presentable appearanceMust be physically fitPersonable and friendlyOur vision:We have a vision of a world where no one suffers from the painful genetic skin condition EB.Until that day, DEBRA focuses its work in two areas:We fund pioneering research to find effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure for EB.We provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.We couldn't do any of this without raising substantial funds, which is why you will be so integral to our success.If you are enthusiastic about the contribution you could make and would like to join our team as our new Van Driver please click 'apply' today - don't miss out, we'd love to hear from you!
