Job description

I am recruiting for an established and expanding ultra-high precision scientific instrumentation company.

The person we are seeking is extremely specific, this is NOT a Design Based job!, This is a role for a person with a natural interest in the hands on side of engineering, a person who likes using classic and specialist tools to build and assemble high specification assemblies.

Would consider a good recent graduate who has always built made and assembled and pulled apart stuff as it is "in the blood".

They want a person who once settled could perhaps make recommendations on new tools, better processes, new assembly techniques etc.

This is a progressive role, but they need a person happy and content with the hands on aspect of the role and over time the company would encourage your progression based on the skills you have, they are trying to avoid being used as a pit-stop to a design role etc.

Strong Mechanical skills are key, its not electronics it is precision mechanical assembly, at watchmaker level, full training will be given but the candidate must have some form of demonstrated experience with precision assembly/building.

Essential duties and responsibilities

* Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
