Job description

Location: The role is home based, anywhere along the M4 corridor would be ideal but other areas considered.

Travel: The role will involve significant travelling to sites across the UK, visiting HQ in Redhill, Surrey and some overseas travel.

Car Allowance: A suitable company vehicle will be provided for your use.

Other equipment: High quality equipment will be provided in terms of mobile phone, laptop, test equipment, etc.

About Us:

Our client specialises in the manufacture, installation and service of pharmaceutical-grade water and steam systems.

We have a strong client base which is continuously growing, and we are looking to recruit an experienced water purification engineer to help deliver our service program. Initially, this program will be delivered to existing clients, but you will also need to have the interpersonal skills and business awareness to suggest and negotiate further service programs in both existing and new clients.

For the right person, this is the chance to use your engineering skills for the clear benefit of customers in a highly technical environment, whilst providing a perfect opportunity for a well-organised individual to build longer term customer relationships and revenue streams, and grow into a management role.

About You:

You must be practical, hard-working, and most of all independent minded, used to working on your own initiative, and happy to drive long distances to do a full day's work. You must be experienced in general Water Purification techniques, and hopefully you'll also have specific experience of Reverse Osmosis, Water Softeners, Carbon Filtration, Pumps, Electrical & Electronic control systems and general hydraulic principles.

Role and responsibilities

·Visit our clients and keep their water purification installations in first class order

·Deliver existing client maintenance schedules accurately, and report progress.

·Build good working relationships, so that you can then suggest and propose additional service components to clients and deliver them

·Keep your equipment in excellent condition, and maintain accurate, timely client records

·Provide management information as required.

·When required meet with new clients, explain who we are and what we do, discuss service packages, and add them to your maintenance schedule

Person Definition

Essential skills and experience

* Experienced engineer in Water Purification/treatment environments

* Good GCSE grades: Maths and English essential

* HNC/HND in either Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Electronics

* Hard working, independent minded, reliable, happy to work on own initiative

* Likeable, pleasant, warm personality, gets along with all people at all levels

* Excellent record keeping and documentation.

Ideal skills and qualities:

* Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare and/or medical water environments

* Experience in discussing new products and services

We will provide initial training on our systems with full support from our team and ongoing training as required
