Your next role to come join their growing Contracts team and work with exciting contracts and leading edge technology. The Commercial Officer will report to the Contracts Manager and join our contracts team who are responsible for establishing and maintaining contractual activities between external customers and the IPT (Integrated Product Team). This role will be critical in influencing successful business outcomes in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income and free cash flow for new and continuing programs. The Commercial Officer analyses new laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on business unit goals and objectives.

This position will be responsible for protecting the interests of the company by understanding, interpreting and agreeing suitable terms and conditions with the customer.

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

* Leading and managing contractual activities between external customers and IPT including any changes to the contractual baseline

* Negotiating commercial contractual commitments milestone payments, LDs etc. and defining contract change control with customer

* Ensuring contracts are written in line with customer and company expectations, whilst protecting the companies interests

* Ensuring product & service delivery solutions meet contractual requirements, commercial milestones are correctly invoiced in line with contractual payment terms, and customer satisfaction is monitored

* Ensuring that any production changes are compliant with existing contractual agreements, negotiating contractual changes with customers as a result of production change requests as required

* Providing information to the IPT Leader in response to customer enquiries or complaints. Communicating directly with customer stakeholders in relation to enquiries or complaints when requested by the IPT Leader

* Ensuring final customer payments have been received during programme closure, ensuring that any GFA or CFA has been returned or disposed of in line with contractual and governance requirements.

What you'll bring the role of Commercial Officer requires the following experience and skills:

* Project Management Experience desirable

* Aerospace and Defence industry experience considered an asset

* Graduate Degree or related experience desirable.

* Must be confident and assertive to be successful in this role.

* Be able to successfully communicate will all levels of the business.
