Job description

I am working with an exciting hospitality management business with sites across the UK. With exciting plans to grow (both organically and via acquisition) they are now in need of an experience Finance Director from a hospitality/F&B background to join the team and support this.

The role

Management and responsibility for the finance function - building a best-in-class finance function.
Overall responsibility of finance function and stakeholder management - ensuring that financial dashboard targets are continually reported, achieved, and exceeded.
Long term strategy and planning - lead business planning from an annual to 3-year basis and helping to drive strategic choices to maximise growth on that journey
PnL and Budget Management & Reporting - Ensuring timely and accurate management and financial reporting to the Board, SLT and corporate finance team as well as creating and monitoring budgets.
Business Partnering across Ops teams.
Assist in all company-wide budget planning, managing KPIs and ensuring the business is engaged in achieving the best possible financial performance with continual review of performance vs targets
Cash Protection & Risk Management - Maintain tight controls and cash optimisation across all areas. Designing optimised payment strategies across suppliers.
Preparation of cash flow forecasts
Legal & Regulatory - Lead on all legal contracts as Company Secretary ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Corporate finance - manage company policies regarding capital requirements, debt, taxation, equity, acquisitions or disposal as appropriate.
Ensure that the company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and can support future business growth.
Responsibility for the preparation and issuing of monthly management accounts, Year End Reports and other ad hoc requirements to the relevant teams
High quality commercial analysis across the business to assist in business making decisions and to be proactively involved in margin improvements across all functions of the business

What we are looking for

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant prior experience in hospitality (start-up/scaleup experience highly desirable).
The energy and self-motivation to work within a small, rapidly growing business.
Strong systems knowledge
Able to think strategically and distil large amounts of data and apply a financial lens to different scenarios.
Able to negotiate, influence and build excellent working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Strong leadership and management skills to develop finance team.
Experience of managing the full PnL and demonstrated ability to deliver and exceed budgets.
Passionate about the food and beverage/FMCG sector and about developing your career within a well-known, growing brand.
