Job description

We are hiring a Contract Research Analyst to join our global team to provide strategic guidance to enterprise clients and produce high quality and insightful deliverables.This is a freelance position and is project-based. For this reason, specific recurring hours are not guaranteed. When projects become available, a member of the Strategy & Insights team will contact contractors to gauge availability and discuss project requirements and timelines.The analysis skills needed for this role are both quantitative and qualitative; it is important that the candidate is skilled in interpreting and synthesizing online data. The successful candidate will be flexible, commercially minded, and able to demonstrate that they can understand client needs and objectives and make data-based recommendations to impact business results.Responsibilities:Leverage Brandwatch Social Intelligence tools to support client deliverables on time and in accordance with the research brief.Bring your creativity and strategic thinking to solve client problems and encourage them to think big with social.Be proactive communicating with the S&I team, responsive to availability requests and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.Actively suggest research additions and improvements and providing regular updates and feedback.Required skills:At least two years' experience in a market research environment using qualitative and quantitative data.Solid understanding of marketing and social media.A strong level of competency in Power Point, Excel (including formulas, pivot tables & charting) and Word.Strong business writing and communication skills - able to weave a coherent narrative that supports client needsAble to quickly pick up use of new technologies.Excellent quantitative and qualitative research skills (trend-spotting, data exploration and methodology awareness).Understanding of the benefits and limitations of various social media metricsAble to think like a client; able to assess relevance, context and actionability of findings and develop into actionable insight.Previous experience with Social Media Listening tools and writing Boolean is strongly preferred but not prerequisite.The ideal candidate is:Fluent in English and Japanese.Commercially minded, able to multitask and juggle priorities with humor and grace.Able to work both independently and collaboratively with other analysts, teams and clients.Able to identify patterns and key topics in big data sets confidently and efficiently.Curious and analytical; able to make sense of qualitative/quantitative data and make recommendations based on client objectives/needs.An excellent communicator and a data storyteller, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas and data, both verbally with clients and in deliverables.Skilled in manipulating data and creating charts in MS Excel, PPT or similar.Experienced (two or more years work experience in a research related field); client/account management experience a plus.A creative analyst that can find solutions proactively and is able to work in a fast paced environment.Success Measures:Delivers work on time and to expectations outlined by lead analyst or strategist.Delivers work in accordance with brief, Brandwatch Style Guide.Is able to weave a compelling narrative that maps back to client business objectives.Able to receive and act on feedback.INDMUK
