*BID Writer*

Sureserve Fire and Electrical, part of the Sureserve Group, are a specialist in the supply, installation and maintenance of fire safety and security systems. Delivering fire compliance services, which cover all the physical infrastructure and fire safety materials required for a building to respond to the outbreak of fire.

We are currently recruiting for a BID Writer to join our busy growing team on a permanent basis. This successful candidate will drive an effective safety culture aligned with the Sureserve Group leading on all Health & Safety related elements.

*About the Role: *

The purpose of the role is to source, collate, and prepare professional tailored tenders that are of high value, meeting the specific requirements of our prospective clients. Using market intelligence research and by liaising with external and internal stakeholders you will support the Bid Team to project manage the end-to-end bid process for new and retained tenders whilst raising the company's profile through exceptional quality tender submissions.

*Responsibilities: *

* Writer in the Bid Team responsible for submissions, PQQs and tenders. Responsibilities include project management of the bid process, agreeing strategy with the Sector Teams, ensuring adequate resources are available to complete the submission, managing those resources throughout the process, all content is in place, and for the quality of the final output subject to approval. Likely to include engagement with the client in many cases
* Creation of high quality PQQ and bid documents, including writing and editing content (text and graphics) and document production
* Management of bid document production, including championing best practice in planning and organisation and ensuring compliance with business development process, style and brand guidance
* Contribution to development and implementation of the Bid Improvement Plan
* Building and developing relationships with the operational teams
* Commitment to championing best practice across the Sureserve Group
* Obtaining client feedback, and participating in the CRM process when appropriate
* Responsible for client presentations, preparing for interviews and organising site visits as required

*Essential Requirements: *

* Exemplary written English with a professional writing style
* Detailed knowledge and experience of Bid Writing, and Bid Management including document editing/production and process management
* Ability to interact, communicate, and co-ordinate diverse teams at all levels, including the Senior Management Team
* Computer literacy including Microsoft Office programs essential. Attention to detail in regard to corporate layout and presentation style
* Ability to encompass change whilst ensuring delivery of high-quality work and delivery to time parameters.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills

*Desirable: *

* Degree level in relevant subject or equivalent
* Experience within and knowledge of fire industry
* Experience within and knowledge of construction/maintenance/building environment and relevant sectors
