Job description
Job title: Fire and Security Installation Manager
Salary:- £35k-£40k

Reporting to: Managing Director
Responsible for: Fire/Security Installation projects
Work Location Head office - Burgess Hill
Role Summary:
• To manage the full project life cycle from start-up, through delivery, to project completion,
ensuring projects are delivered on time, to the required standard, and to budget.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for accepting Installation Projects from the Sales team, once a technical review
has been carried out, to ensure Project can be delivered within time frames, to an excellent
standard, and within budget.
• Responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure of projects
• Responsible for sourcing required resources (Contractors) to complete Projects to an excellent
standard.
• Ensure Health and Safety procedures are communicated and adhered to by all operatives.
• Ensure risk assessments and toolbox talks are completed as required.
• Ensure Project folders are up to date, and procedures are always adhered to.
• Create and execute plans, work breakdowns and revisions as appropriate, including weekly updates on Variations to clients.
• Manage day-to-day project tasks.
• Lead project meetings with clients, suppliers and 3rd parties
• Communicate regular project updates internally and to clients
• Negotiate both internally and externally to resolve project risks and issues
• Manage project scope and change control
• Produce and maintain project initiation and management documents
• Provide consistent and reliable resourcing requirement
• Carry out full commission and handover to client on project completion, via employed engineers and project managers.
• Ensure correct certification is issued with O&M Manuals.
• Monthly forecasting, WIP/WIH and P&L. (Work In Progress & Work In Hand).
Knowledge/Experience required:
• Knowledge of the Project cycle from acceptance through to completion.
• Knowledge of Fire and Security British Standards, BAFE/NACOSS.
• Excellent inter-personal communication and negotiation skills
• Able to work openly and co-operatively with others, both internally and externally.
• Self-motivation and ability to organise own time effectively as well as to motivate and advise others to schedule their own workloads
• Good presentational skills; able to present complex ideas at the appropriate level to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience of managing multiple simultaneous activities and leading project teams.
• Experience of delivering installation projects to budget and targets.
