MECHANICAL SUPERVISOR - WATER SECTOR
Chichester/West Sussex
Are you ready to take your career to the next level, if so my client has multiple vacancies and are looking for Mechanical Supervisors and Electrical Supervisors with experience within the water sector covering the Southern Water Framework.
THE ROLE
As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will assist the site manager in maintaining a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors ensuring work is completed to the highest of standards.
You will:
Ensure that all relevant health and safety documents are correctly recorded.
Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out.
Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work Instructions from the project manager.
Record the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation when required.
Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required.
Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works.
Recognise the health and safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensure safe working environments for all.
Actively support the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with the companies Safety Policies.YOU
They are looking for passion, strong leadership and a commitment for delivering excellence. If you have experience of supervising the installation of process packages and field pipework in an industrial process environment (ideally in water and wastewater) then I want to hear from you. Obviously, you'll have the usual good stuff such as an HNC in mechanical engineering, CSCS and SSSTS backed up with sound knowledge of Health, Safety procedures in addition to be able to read mechanical drawings and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID's. But we are looking for more than just that, we are looking for someone with a positive, "can do" approach who can work effectively as part of a team, if this sounds like you then be sure to apply.
