This is the UK's leading independent supplier of recycled plastic pallets and boxes used for transportation in the field of logistics, food processing, grocery retail and ecommerce. Clients include John Lewis, Sainsbury's, Boohoo and Lush.

As businesses become more focused on sustainability and as more products are delivered, they have seen a real surge in demand for their products. In fact over the past year new customer sales have grown by 15% and they have posted record sales months for June and July.

Job Description

Due to growth, an internal sales role has been created. With 40,000 contacts on their database, you will be:

Building relationships with existing and new customers who may have requirements for their products - very little 'cold calling' involved
Following up on inbound leads
Managing multiple accounts simultaneously
Identifying new sales opportunities through upselling, cross selling and gaining business referrals
Maintaining records of all sales leads and customer accounts
Educating customers on how products or services can benefit them
Preparing and sending quotations by email and post
Analysing customers to understand how to improve sales strategy, and making recommendations to management

Working hours are 8.30am until 5pm Monday to Friday. The salary is £21-25K DOE and carries monthly bonuses of 20% of base salary based on hitting targets. Full training for the role will be provided on the job.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Live within a reasonable commute to Eastbourne
Be confident speaking on the phone and have excellent communication skills
Have strong oral and written communication skills
Be a team-player used to a busy office environment
Be able to build strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues
Have strong customer focus
Be IT literate
Have excellent time management skills
Be pro-active, able to work independently
Demonstrate advanced administration skills

Due to the level of training and interaction required with the whole team, this is a permanent office based role.
