Job description
Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo carry out all tasks as designated and delegated by Area Supervisor, and in accordance with RAMS. Activities including PPM activities and scheduled remedial works only. Provide support in transportation issues to other site disciplines.· Ensure that at all times, legislative, site and company procedures are adhered to - Refer to SSOW · Have working knowledge of site waste disposal procedures and report any issues that may arise. · Ensure that you are fully trained and this has been documented on site file. · To comply with all instructions and training programs as required by EMCOR and their site representative. · To assist in the control and movement of equipment or allocated tasks as directed by supervisor. · To complete works as designated by the line manager - Report to the FM office daily to obtain list of activities. · To carry out all works in accordance with client procedures, service levels and with legislative, trade and manufactures requirements and standards. · To conduct service audits of waste stations, documenting times of transfer and removal - ensuring all faults are reported. · To complete all paperwork required by the EMCOR/British Sugar ensuring the service meets and or exceeds to the minimum standard and is completed within the company deadlines. · To ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported to the supervisor/EMCOR management at soonest opportunity. Reporting in accordance with EMCOR and client requirements and procedures, standards and documentation is completed to company standards. · Ensure risk assessments and their accompanying method statements and safe systems of work are in place for all site direct and subcontracted activities and are reviewed prior to task commencement. · Fully assess and ensure that all require PPE is available prior to carrying out a task. · To carry out a point of Work Risk Assessment before commencing any task, after a break or new task - information to be shown and approved by line manager. · Prepared to work flexibly within a team environment and be flexible in tasks allocated. · To have a full knowledge of all areas of work to be covered in the course of duty. · At all times ensure supervisor has full knowledge of whereabouts.Person SpecificationCustomer Satisfaction: · Ensure you are polite and friendly to colleagues at all times. · To visually and verbally recognize the client in a pleasant manner. · To complete all CMMS works order in accordance as set out in schedule and ability to enter job as closed with any relevant details. · To be prepared at all times to assist your colleagues and move from one activity to another within your overall services remit. Working Activities/duties · To arrive punctually for every shift, ensuring that you attend safety brief at 07:30am. · Liaise with Contractor Coordinator for collections of waste products and ensure these are regularly emptied. · Ensure that all times skips/waste receptacles are clearly labelled. · Ensure that containers are clean and fit for purpose, and COSHH has been completed where applicable. · Periodically litter picking, weeding and maintaining appearance of customer routes in adverse weather conditions support path gritting. · Ensure key points in yard areas are kept free of debris - report any redundant plant and equipment, maintain good standard of housekeeping for all outside receptacles. · Conduct CMMS PM checks associated with role, taps/hoses showers in accordance with British Sugar specification - highlight any faults on system. · Conduct legionella inspection and associated tasks where requested. · Conduct fire equipment inspections, recording inspections/faults where requested. · Reasonable works as requested by your Area Supervisor. · At times where waste operations are not required support Cleaning service. Performance Indicators · Ensure that all Health & Safety, Environmental and Food Hygiene standards and requirements are adhered to 100%. · Ensure that all scheduled works orders are dealt with promptly and effectively and that justification is provided for any non-compliance to work order. · Ensure that all re-active calls and relevant details are recorded and dealt with in a timely manner. Making Own Decisions: Using own initiative to prioritise, responding too urgent priorities and effective time management, elevating situations and acting appropriately.Previous forklift experience (Essential) Forklift licence RITB (Essential) IOSH - Working safely (Essential) Knowledge of health and safety Manual handling will be required Ability to carry out detailed paperwork Good level of literacy and attention to detail Computer literate All terrain conversion forklift licence desirable however applicants with just a standard forklift licence will still be considered for the role
