Senior Support Worker Job - Full Time - Burgess Hill Area

These children suffer with emotional behavioural difficulties and a range of other complex issues.

Your new role
Your main responsibility as a senior children's support worker is to make sure the children you care for are safe and progress in their personal development. This will involve working therapeutically with the children and young people to promote independence and provide support when required. This will also involve risk-assessing the surroundings making sure there's no obvious hazards. You will be working as part of a team, this is a 40 hour a week full-time job, consisting of a mixture of day and afternoon\/evening shifts, you will also be expected to work some weekends and complete a certain amount of sleep-in's each month.

What you'll need to succeed
You MUST be committed to a long-term career in the Social Care industry working with vulnerable children and young people. You will have previous experience working in a children's residential home, working with children who suffer with EBD, you will also have a NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent. You will also ideally be able to drive.
