Job Purpose
This job description details responsibilities for the Plant Manager reporting to the Site Director Industrial Parks.

Primary purpose of role

In line with business and legislative requirements be the SCP ‘Accountable Person', ensuring compliance and
delivery of the px Group Operating Standard through leadership, direction and management of strategy,
actions and results.
Successfully lead, engage and manage the SCP leadership team in implementation of the above.

Major duties

In line with px and client requirements, lead responsibility for safe, effective running of the Saltend Chemicals
Park and px assets within it. Ensure all SHEQ, legislative and business requirements are met, maintained and
improved.
Lead, manage and engage the SCP leadership team and other assigned personnel, taking overall responsibility
for their supervision, development, welfare and overall effectiveness.
Be the site role model consistently demonstrating px's zero harm SHEQ and risk management strategies,
Company values, behaviours, policies and practices. In addition, be the site focal point for positive competent
authority engagement and management, ensuring all requirements are met.
Build, maintain and manage effective and timely client relationships balancing and delivering px and client
requirements ensuring safe, efficient asset running and excellent & adaptable customer/client service.
Develop, lead, communicate and deliver the SCP Annual Operating and Business plan, overall philosophy,
procedures and systems. Consistently achieve required performance measures and statutory and management
reporting. Ensure their effective communication, understanding and monitoring by all employees.
Effectively plan, justify, control and optimise SCP budgets, financial considerations and contracts.
Work effectively and positively with all SCP and px employees, customers, clients, contractors and external
authorities, to both promote the SCP business and deliver site and client requirements.
Develop, maintain and actively participate in local, industrial and government activities, promoting positive
public and business relationships.
Be an active member of the px plant managers' forum, sharing best practice & supporting others.
As required, to provide out of hours and emergency call out support.
