Salary: £32,075 rising to £37,455
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30

We're now searching for an ambitious individual with an interest in Supermarket Buying trends and habits, who would like to join a vibrant and growing team.

The Category Team, based in the National Buying department, is responsible for the management, interpretation and dissemination of market data throughout the business to enable informed strategic decision-making.
Reporting to the Category Manager, this role involves preparing and circulating a variety of category reports, often to tight deadlines and always with precise attention to detail.

We're looking for someone who:

• Contributes positively and constructively to the Category Team and the Corporate Buying Department
• Has experience or the ability to work with Data manipulation, interrogation and presentation of business performance
• Has an aptitude for interpreting data into meaningful insights
• Has Drive, support and provide strategy related to business performance
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external parties and service providers when required
• Ensures all projects within the area of responsibility are delivered on time and within the budget and scope agreed with the Category Manager
• Actively manages the area of responsibility by using initiative and suggesting ways of improving processes and systems for greater efficiency
• Documents existing business processes and proposes new processes where required
• Ensures adherence to all legal requirements, Health and Safety and Due Diligence measures in their area of responsibility
• Assists the Category Department with testing of new procedures and systems

Essential requirements:

• Maths and English GCSE C or above
• Preparation of reports
• Excel and PowerPoint super-user
• High levels of accuracy
• Comfortable dealing with complex data
• Able to cope with multiple tasks
• Able to work under pressure and deliver against short deadlines
• Can deliver solutions autonomously
• High levels of initiative and proactivity

• Salary starting from £32,075 rising to £37,455
• 5-day/40-hour week, working Monday- Friday.
