​Role: Procurement Assistant

Salary: £32,075 rising to £37,455

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant to provide operational and administrative support to the GNFR Procurement Management team throughout the non-merchandise procurement process taking responsibility for the administration and delivery of sourcing projects and the realisation of cost savings. In addition, to support the development and implementation of category plans as well as interpreting spend analytics to inform sourcing activity.

The role requires experience in procurement and contract management, preferably GNFR within a multi-site business. Strong inter-personal and communication skills are also required as the role involves regular engagement with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

The role will entail the management and administration of the following GNFR activities:

Delivery of sourcing projects / Tender process / Procurement process including utilisation of SAP Ariba
Contract implementation process / Contract repository
Supplier on-boarding / Supplier contract database
Chapter 8 Tracking and Administration / Contract renewal diary management
Project savings tracker
First refusal contact tracker
Policy and procedure management
Departmental administration / PA duties
Requires comprehensive IT skills and experience including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and SAP Ariba

To apply for this role you will have the following skills / experience

Experience within a Procurement role.
A minimum of 3 A Levels or Equivalent
Office management / Office administration / PA duties / Strategic sourcing / Negotiation / Contracting / Contract and supplier management / Building strong internal and external relationships / Experience in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Advanced Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail / Tracking of cost savings / Able to work to tight deadlines / Flexible to business requirements
Capable of being the external face of the department to both internal and external stakeholders
Excellent written & verbal communication
Excellent organisational, time and diary management skills
Experience within indirect procurement, ideally within a multi-site business
