JE Engineering Ltd, (JE Motorworks), are looking for an experienced engine test technician to run our two test beds in Coventry.
We are primarily looking for individuals who have experience running CP Cadet 14 control systems and who have experience of both water brake and eddy current dynamometers.
As well as testing Rover V8 and Jaguar Supercharged engines we build ourselves, there is now an ongoing project to recommission our second test bed to run engines for external customers and significant experience of engine testing across different disciplines is especially important for that aspect of the role as well as recognising client confidentiality practices.
You will need to be progressive in your thinking, looking to apply improvements where necessary and working with the Engineering team in applying good practice when working through new challenges, particularly when installing unfamiliar engines.
When not directly testing engines, you will be expected to consider improvements for the facility alongside the Engineering team in order to improve efficiencies. Ideally you may have fabrication and welding skills which would be beneficial when making up engine mounting systems and exhausts to suit particular installations
