Finance officer required for a secondary school in September on a full-time basis for a minimum of 3 months

Your new company
This school based in Coventry are looking for a finance officer full time from September for approximately 3 months potentially longer. They are at the heart of their community and encourage pupils and staff to always achieve their full potential. The staff team are very supportive.

Your new role
As a finance officer you will be expected to work 5 days per week. Ideally to start in September. You will be required to work in an organised and structured manner that is appreciative of the need to meet deadlines and offer a high level of service, manage the payment process to suppliers be it by cheque or BACS and manage the cashbook on a day-to-day basis and ensure timely reconciliation to bank statements. Take lead responsibility for setting up and maintaining direct debits and standing orders as well as manage the schools Procurement Card system, liaising with card holders and the bank as necessary and ensuring that monthly procedures are complied with. Analyse and reconcile control accounts on a monthly basis as directed by the Finance Manager and liaise with the payroll processing bureau maintaining control over the flow of information and ensuring compliance with payroll deadlines. Support the HR department with holiday pay calculations and term- time salary calculations

What you'll need to succeed
You must have finance officer experience and be available for the whole 3 months. You will be flexible and approachable in your approach. Have a key eye for detail and be able to use your own initiative. The post is subject to satisfactory references from the last 2 years and enhanced DBS check being ran.
