Your part in our journey:
You will be expected to drive customer data quality, ensuring it is aligned to the external industry view. You will investigate and provide solutions for billing data exceptions, Identify and implement process improvements to maximise billed volume accuracy and drive the retirement of existing Data & Direct Fixes.
Your part in the team:
• Investigate and resolve complex billing queries.
• Remove customer effort by identifying recurring scenarios and providing solutions.
• Consistently analyse data quality and identify situations/gaps in data that may cause dispute.
• Work closely with colleagues across Operations to drive CI through data insight.
• Maintain data quality and security through peer sign off and documentation
• Provide business support for customer query resolution through data fixes
• Provide data insight to drive new solutions
• Provide data insight to drive resolution at root cause of exceptions
• Maintenance of billing status table, ensuring exceptions are excluded from billing
• Manage the delivery of Sensibility failures into Maxbill
• Support project initiatives and provide operational insight into data controls for new products, services and processes
What you'll need to help you make the best of the role:
Ideally you will be familiar with utilities having worked in a similar regulated environment.
In addition, you will have experience in the following:
• Minimum of 2 years experience of a relational database management system (PostGres, MS SQL 2008 (2012 desirable)
• Ability to analyse large amounts of data and perform systematic checks to ensure it is accurate.
• Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
• Highly energetic.
• Quality focussed with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Demonstrate good organisation and time management skills
• Desire to take ownership of issues and 'go the extra mile'
• Demonstrate resilience and tenacity
The nice to haves:
• SSIS and SSRS experience an advantage
• Knowledge of the energy and telecoms industries would be very beneficial
