Going from A-B is changing, for good. Can you take us there?Electronics and Complex SystemsAutomotive systems are increasing in complexity and becoming highly distributed across the vehicle platform. Electronics systems and their components are the driving force behind our cutting-edge customer facing features, from assisted and automated driving to the quality-of-life improvements our customers expect in using their vehicles. The robust design and implementation of a complex system powered by electronics helps positively shape the customers' experiences through benefits that can be relied upon day in and day out.The Electronics and Complex Systems engineering teams are responsible for designing and developing these complex systems and their components. The teams within Electronics and Complex Systems are: Body & Chassis, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Product Engineering Operations (PE Ops) and Research.Your first 6-month placement of 4 will be with your 'home' team, which will be assigned to you based on a number of factors, suitability being our main aim. Based on the information you provide we will allocate you to an appropriate 'home' team, as this will ideally be the job you will do at the end of the programme. However, if we didn't find your best fit, we will look to allocate you to a permanent job within the Engineering Function, balancing business and individual preference.During your placements there are many different projects that you could be engaged in from day one including electronics product delivery or development. You could be part of a team driving the design, development and validation of Jaguar Land Rover's cutting-edge technology solutions (in compliance with relevant design standards, rules and requirements) using our business tools. Or you could be working on model's development and simulation at either system or component level. Interfacing with multiple stakeholders to ensure all appropriate Jaguar Land Rover requirements and standards are met throughout the product development lifecycle, as well as developing and maintaining engineering design documentation.As a graduate in Electronic and Complex Systems area you will have the opportunity to work on the most advanced technologies, applying all you have learned so far in real life products whilst having the perfect blend of personal and professional development. You will build up your technical expertise and capability to perform confidently in your business area and role.On completion of the scheme, you could become an experienced member of the electronics engineering community in Body & Chassis, Electrical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain, Product Engineering Operations or Research.Joining this Graduate Programme will provide you with the opportunity to work for one of the most iconic brands in the automotive market. You will take part in training to help you understand yourself, others, and gain insight into our business with a support specifically tailored to your role.What's requiredExcellence runs throughout our entire business, and we expect you to be the same. You will have or expect to achieve a 2:2 degree or higher in the following: Systems Engineering, Electronic & Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Cryptography.
