Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Accounts Assistant to join a busy administrative team in the heart of Stoneleigh Agriculture Park. The role will be part time and you will be expected to work 15 hours per week which are flexible.

Reporting into the Management Accountant you will need a minimum of two years' experience working on purchase ledge and a AAT level II is required. Candidates must be articulate and have excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook and experience of Sage 50.

Salary for this role will be £20,000 - £22,000 pro rata depending on experience.

Main duties:
Maintenance of purchase order log
Processing all supplier invoices, obtaining authorisation for payment from budget holders and posting invoices to Sage
Raising payments ready for authorisation by Management Accountant
Run creditors reports to allocate any unallocated items
Posting P/L payments to Sage
Assist Management Accountant with month end journal preparation
Any other reasonable duties to support Management Accountant
Being prepared to work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the office

Skills required:
Sage 50
Excel spreadsheet use to an intermediate level
Excellent spoken and written English
Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
