Job description

Our client specialise in the installation, service and repair of heavy industrial presses and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

We are seeking an electrical bias maintenance engineer ideally with previous experience in maintenance and repair of heavy presses.

The Role:

Working in the field you will be responsible for a wide range of field service engineer duties including but not limited to the following;

Maintenance and repair of power presses, coil handling equipment and special purpose machinery.
Installation, commissioning & servicing of new & used equipment including power presses, coil feed lines, automation machinery, tool protection/monitoring systems, and other press ancillary equipment.
Onsite fitting, wiring and fault finding of electrical control panels.
Working on planned preventative maintenance schedules and responding to breakdowns.
Building, testing and wiring electrical control panels from Candidate:

You will be an experienced multi-skilled engineer with electrical bias. You should have at least 3 years previous experience with maintenance and repair of heavy hydraulic presses.

You will be competent in 3-phase electrical fault find and repair and you will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification E.g. NVQ3, HNC, 18th Edition.

You will have good allround mechanical engineering and hydraulics & pneumatics knowledge

Basic PLC controls experience would be beneficial.

Hours of Work:

Mon -Fri 7.30am - 4pm + OT
