We are working with a forward thinking, Coventry based Waste Management client who are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / Fitter to join their organisation, on a permanent, full-time basis, offering a competitive salary. We are looking for a HGV Technician / Fitter to carry out vehicle maintenance including servicing, inspections, defect repairs, MOT preparations and breakdowns on heavy goods vehicles. The successful candidate will also be working closely alongside the Workshop Manager, supporting them with any duties necessary.

This role will require the successful candidate to possess excellent communication skills and ensure quality and a meticulous approach to every task. A full driving license is essential and a qualification in mechanical discipline would be advantageous. An understanding of MOT, legal compliance and health and safety standards is also essential, as is experience working on light and heavy goods vehicles.

You will be working 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday on day shift patterns, and the salary the client is looking to offer would be £38k - £40k, with many opportunities for overtime work.
