Smile Education are currently working on behalf of a North Birmingham Primary School to assist them in the recruitment of a SEN Teaching Assistant (ASC ASD AUTISM) to start as soon as possible.This two-form entry Primary School situated in Streetly currently holds a unique opportunity for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to work in a mainstream school.

We are currently searching for a Level 3 qualified (CACHE Teaching and Learning) SEN assistant who has direct experience supporting children who have have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders including Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. The successful applicant should be available on a full-time basis for the first term and be versatile and sensitive in their approach to students.
This school is situated within proximity to Boldmere, Wylde Green, Erdington, Hodge Hill, Ward End and Minworth. Our client records above average attainment across EYFS and KS1 & KS2. Progress scores remain above the city and national averages.

We would like applicants to have demonstrative experience in supporting ASD children within Key Stage 2.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

- Hold a relevant qualification in supporting primary school aged children - CACHE Level 3 teaching and Learning

- Knowledge of the UK curriculum especially in Key Stage 2 core subjects

- Undertaken courses relvent to ASD - Autism Awareness, Autism Education, Level 2 Understanding Autism

- Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils achieve the very best through an all-inclusive curriculum
