Tig Welder

We are on the lookout for a Tig Welder to join a quality manufacturer of bespoke stainless steel, steel and aluminium fabrications, utilised in the office and commercial refurbishment industries.

As a Tig Welder, your main responsibilities will welding mild/stainless steel and aluminium from thickness 1-8mm to reading and interpreting welding assembly drawings. Further responsibilities are listed below.

2 years' experience in fabrication is required for this role.

As Tig Welder, you will be reporting to the 2nd Ops Manager.

Responsibilities:

TIG weld mild/stainless steel and aluminium from thickness 1-8mm
MIG weld mild steel in thickness ranging from 2-15mm
Read and interpret welding assembly drawings and symbols
Produce and manufacture jigs to streamline the manufacturing process and improve efficiency
Actively contribute to process improvements to increase efficiency
Work with minimal to no supervision under own initiative
Dress/clean up welds where necessary including dressed/polished finishes
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relative to welding processes
Manage consumables and stock levels to ensure uninterrupted production
Support the sales/technical department with queries about welding jobs

The working hours for this position are 8am - 4.30pm across Monday to Friday. The salary for this role is £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience and skills.
