Senior Process Development Technician

Job description

A state-of-the-art R&D laboratory facility supporting the development and testing of novel battery designs is now looking for a Senior Process Development Technician. This role is for a Senior Process Development Technician in the Energy Storage Team, to focus will be the hands-on building, maintenance, and operation of equipment for manufacture, prototyping and testing.

The Senior Process Development Technician Will:

Support the building, maintenance, and operation of equipment, enabling the development of next generation battery processes and products.
Carry out both manual and semi-automated processes to assist in development of energy storage equipment and process capability; from machine operation to rig fabrication and build.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to support the scaling of materials from discovery to prototype cells.
The Senior Process Development Technician Will Have:

Prior experience within a high precision R&D battery, electronics, aerospace, or automotive industries following and contributing to standard operating procedures.
Practical experience of handling hazardous materials, using of protective equipment and a good understanding of related health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
Practised in the use of office applications for recording, processing, and presenting data.
Prior experience of the materials and processes used in the energy storage industry is highly desirable.
Experience of kilo scale chemical manufacture and materials processing is desirable
