KS2 Teacher in a Primary School in Wolverhampton.

Your New School

You will be working in one of our long-lasting partnered schools. This Primary School is a part of the Wolverhampton Local Authority, supports the ages 2 - 11 and is approximately 2 miles from the city centre of Wolverhampton (6-minute drive).

Your New Role

Being a KS2 Teacher at this school requires versatility and flexibility. You will be working as a Teacher across KS2 and be responsible for the overall development of the children in your classroom. Day to day duties in this role involve the planning of sessions for the children, delivering the sessions effectively and assessing the children's progress against their age-related expectations. You will also be required to produce learning material for the children and organise the learning environment efficiently.

This school has over 700 pupils and is a three-form entry which means every year has large classes. Therefore, you should have strong communication skills and be dedicated to ensuring pupils receive support with any issues they may have as well as the overall academic progression of children.

To start with it will be a temporary position at the school beginning from January, going on until the end of the academic year. This will be a full-time role, working hours being 8:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday. However, training sessions (which you may be invited to) may go on up until 4:30 once every half term.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have recent experience of teaching KS2 and (be able to provide references). A Qualified Teacher Status or be a Newly Qualified Teacher \/ Early Career Teacher. You will need to be confident and engaging whilst demonstrating a professional manner and have strong communication skills, especially when working with groups of children. You must be able to challenge and encourage the pupils to achieve their best and be a caring individual who is prepared to go the extra mile.
