The role

You'll provide analysis, insight and control to effectively deliver liquidity and cash management responsibilities whilst ensuring that financial controls are developed and maintained to meet internal and regulatory requirements.

In addition, you'll support the production of external disclosures including both the annual Pillar 3 disclosure and Responsible Business Report.

The role is ideally suited to someone studying for a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and can demonstrate that they have the necessary technical, literate and numerical skills and experience.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the management of SPW's Capital Management Framework

  • Supporting with the production and annual update of the ICARA in accordance with the Investment Firms Prudential Regime ("IFPR")

  • Delivering planning and forecasting activities related to the cash management function, ensuring supply of inputs are proactively managed and outputs produced to a high standard in a timely manner

  • Reviewing and monitoring regulatory rules to ensure that the internal control framework is fully compliant, and that associated documentation and processes are updated to reflect changes.

  • Managing and monitoring cash balances and report on the firm's liquidity position (intra-day and daily) and production of cash flow forecasting

  • Producing monthly capital and liquidity management information for presentation to internal committees, including monitoring of early warning indicators and key performance indicators

  • Producing FCA regulatory returns

  • Supporting various ad hoc projects as and when required

  • Producing the responsible Business greenhouse emission data for external publication.

Your qualifications & experience

  • Knowledge of FCA capital and liquidity regime applicable to investment firms i.e. IFPR, is desirable

  • Highly numerate with experience in a financial / analytical discipline

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, specifically the ability to prioritise and process numerous tasks simultaneously and deliver at pace to meet tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to use own initiative, whilst also being a valuable team player.

  • Ability to produce accurate work within agreed timescales/deadlines.

  • Personal drive and resilience to deal with work volumes efficiently
