Contractor Escort - Full time

As the sole agency supplier to the HM Prison Service for the provision of maintenance trades and support operatives. Hays is seeking to recruit Contractor Escorts for HMP Wetherby.

The post is full time (39 hours) temporary on-going basis.

The main responsibility for this role is to carry out security practices within the prison whilst sub-contractor works are carried out. You will be responsible for completing a tool inventory with the sub-contractors prior to them starting work inside the prison, then escorting the sub-contractors to their working area and overseeing them work. This is to ensure no security practices are breached within the Prison.

Due to the challenging environment of the workplace, the ideal candidate will need to be level headed, well organised and hard-working and ideally from a security working background (however this is not essential). You will in return have a guaranteed point of contact throughout the vetting and application process and weekly payment on submission of an approved timesheet.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be able to pass a full prison clearance for this role. For this you must have photo ID in the form of a valid Passport or driving licence plus a full birth certificate, proof of address and proof of NI number. You also must be able to provide 2 recent employment references. The clearance process can take a minimum of 2-3 weeks.
