Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is a BSL Level 2 qualification.

The role

We are currently recruiting for a Communication Support Worker to provide signing support to hearing impaired students. Working towards the individual learners needs on a 1:1 basis in a classroom environment and providing study support when needed. The position would include liaising collaboratively with colleagues across the establishment and maintaining student records.

Requirements

To be considered for the Communication Support Worker role you must:

Have experience working with hearing impaired students
Have a qualification in BSL Level 2 or above
Have Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of support workers
