Accountant Trainee / Semi Senior

Job description

You will join a firm of accountants established over 150 years ago, with a long standing client base serviced from 3 offices across the North of England. This position will be based in the firms Doncaster office, located just out of the centre with parking provided on site and great transport links.

You will work under qualified accountants, to service a varied portfolio with clients in many different industries whilst continuing your studies, whether that be AAT, ACA or ACCA with the end goal of becoming a qualified accountant with your own portfolio of clients. You will receive regular pay increases in line with your exam progress.

As our client is a training practice, you will receive full study support through your exams both in the way of financial aid and study leave. In instances where you have costs to repay to your employer provisions may be made.

Main duties of the role:

Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
VAT Returns
Production of management accounts
Preparation of self assessment tax returns
Opportunity to be involved in corporation tax work and potentially audit assignments where sought
Client Bookkeeping

Salary: £18,000 - £26,000
