Assistant Engineering Geologist

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Engineering Geologist / Engineering Geologist for a dynamic and experienced GI Operations Team to provide ground investigations and geotechnical services throughout the UK.
This is an opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience looking to further their career or knowledge while working for a company that is proud of its industry-leading expertise and experience across a wide range of sectors including major infrastructure for highways and rail, nuclear, new build, onshore and offshore energy and environmental.
This reputable Geotechnical company require someone with the following essential credentials:
* 1-2 years relevant site and industry experience
* Excellent awareness of GI specifications, procedures, techniques, standards and codes of practice
* Knowledge of HoleBASE SI and AGS 4 data
* Qualified to degree level in a geotechnical discipline
* Computer literate and competent in the use of MS Office to create spreadsheets and documents for effective reporting, communication and record-keeping
Desirable skills and qualities include:
* Experience working in a dynamic office environment
* Awareness and ability to implement Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
* Someone with the ability to communicate effectively, has good attention to detail, is flexible, committed and able to multi-task
