Job description

Sugarman Health and Wellbeing are looking for a Care Assistant with a minimum of 6 months of experience in complex care with Autism and Challenging Behaviour to join our team in Doncaster and provide support to a 31-year-old male who has been diagnosed with Autism. The staff members will be re-engaging the service user in getting back into the community and supporting him in the transition.

We are looking to employ carers who are passionate about giving the best care they can, promoting independence, and enhancing our Service Users quality of life.

About the Care Assistant role:

Hourly Rate: £12.00/hour
Location: Doncaster
Shifts Available: 08:00AM - 20:00PM and 20:00PM - 08:00AM
Speciality: Complex Care
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time
Start Date: On completion of recruitment process

Theory and practical training will be provided to ensure you have the correct skills to support this individual. This will give you the opportunity to learn new skills, develop your career, and experience exciting things.

What are your duties as a Care Assistant?

Providing emotional support.
Providing practical support such as helping with household tasks, personal care, and paperwork.
Supporting and monitoring service user's healthcare needs
Supporting to pursue hobbies and interests.
Supporting the learning of new skills
Teaching life skills, such as budgeting and paying bills.
Helping them to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual

Applicant requirements:

A minimum of 6 months of care experience
Able to work in the UK and can show documents
Full and Clean Driving Licence
Full enhanced DBS
Up to date CV
