1:1 Teaching Assistant

Doncaster

£90 to £110 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: experience working with students with special educational needs

Vision for Education for are urgently seeking a 1:1 teaching assistant, who specialises in SEND to work in a school in the Doncaster area.

The Role

This role requires a teaching assistant who has extensive experience of supporting young people of adults who have a variety of SEND and medical needs. This is a full time, long term role from Monday to Friday each week. Hours of work will be 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The School / Setting

Based in Doncaster this unique setting specialises in the education of students who have an EHCP and are not able to attend a mainstream setting due to a variety of reasons, including medical reasons. The team of staff are extremely passionate about providing the highest standard of education and care for their students and this is a value and ethos that the successful candidate will need to also embrace.

Requirements

To be considered for this position you will need to have the following:

Experience of supporting SEND
Moving and handling is highly desirable but this training can be provided free of charge
Willingness to assist with toileting and potentially personal care
Experience of following EHCP's
Experience of supporting a vulnerable children or adults
Previous experience of working on a 1:1 basis is highly desirable
Be available on a full-time basis from ASAP
Be flexible and creative in your approach
Training such as Team Teach are beneficial but not essential
